Here are tech trivia questions and answers taken from recent editions of TechTwitter IO, the free satirical daily paper of tech Twitter. Each one comes from a puzzle on its Fun & Games page, so if you like them, you can play a fresh set in the browser every day.

Try to answer before you read the line under each question. Every question lists the edition it came from, and you can open that date to play the full puzzle.

Word puzzles

1. Five letters: what the $1,999 iPhone Duo does, and on a stand, what it does next. Answer: FOLDS. This was the Twordle on October 22.

2. Five letters: what Apple's October 28 laptop is expected to let you do to its screen. Answer: TOUCH. Twordle, October 20.

3. Unscramble a word for "Mistral's new speech models". Answer: VOXTRAL. Jumble, October 22. That day's Launches section covered Voxtral 3.

4. Unscramble the studio "closed by EA on Wednesday". Answer: BIOWARE. Jumble, October 22.

5. Unscramble the market that was "Thursday's big loser". Answer: NASDAQ. Jumble, October 24.

Connections groups

In Connections you sort tiles into four groups. Here are groups from past grids. Cover the answer and name the link.

Tiles The link Edition
KOTOR, Jade Empire, Anthem, Baldur's Gate BioWare games Oct 22
MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad mini, M6 Expected on Oct. 28, per Bloomberg Oct 20
Preview, beta, waitlist, preorder Not shipped yet Oct 24
Refocus, streamline, reduction, reorg Ways to say "job cuts" Oct 24
OSWorld, GDPval, SciCode, OfficeQA Benchmarks in that day's paper Oct 24

The last row is the hard kind. You only get it if you read the paper that morning, because the four names only belong together as the benchmarks that edition happened to mention.

Real or satire?

The Real or Satire? game mixes real headlines with ones the paper made up. Guess, then check.

6. "Heatbit unveils a water-heater element that mines Bitcoin." Answer: real. The October 24 puzzle linked it to a report in Decrypt.

7. "Canva ranks itself first among AI labs and second among models." Answer: satire, from the same day.

8. "Etsy asks most sellers for at least one unedited photograph of the actual item." Answer: real, October 24, with a source link.

9. "Apple recalls MagSafe stands for being too vertical." Answer: satire. October 22.

How did you do?

Seven or more right means you read tech news closely. Fewer than four means you have a healthier relationship with your phone than most of tech Twitter. Either way, there is a new set of tech trivia questions and answers in each edition.

Play the full version

Open today's paper and scroll to Fun & Games. Next to Twordle, Connections, Jumble and Real or Satire? you will find Who Tweeted It?, where you match a quote to the person who posted it. The paper is satire, and its footer says that unless a post links to its source, its people, posts and quotes are parody or invented, so play that one for fun rather than as a record.

Under the games, Yesterday's Answers shows the solutions to the previous day's Twordle, Jumble and Connections. Older editions, puzzles included, sit in the paper's archive, sorted by date.

If you need evergreen questions about computer history for a classroom, a printed question bank is a better fit. These answers age with the news, which is the point.
