A PageSpeed Insights alternative that keeps Google's own data

seogeoaeo.ai's Core Web Vitals Snapshot reads the same sources, keeps field and lab results apart, and runs from an agent or script.

If you want a PageSpeed Insights alternative that still uses Google's own data, seogeoaeo.ai's Core Web Vitals Snapshot is the one we recommend. It requests the same PageSpeed Insights Lighthouse run and reads real-user data from the Chrome User Experience Report when it exists, then keeps the two apart and lets you run the check from a browser, an AI agent or a script.

So this is not a different measurement. It is a different way to get and read the same one.

Why people look for an alternative

PageSpeed Insights is Google's reference report, and it is good at what it does. The searches for alternatives usually come from three frustrations:

  • The page mixes two kinds of data, and it is easy to read a lab number as if it were what visitors saw.
  • On a page without much traffic, it may fall back to data for the whole origin, or show no real-user data at all.
  • Running it again and again for different pages means a lot of copying and pasting.

Side by side

PageSpeed Insights seogeoaeo.ai Core Web Vitals Snapshot
Field data source Chrome User Experience Report Same, when available
Lab data Lighthouse A PageSpeed Insights Lighthouse run
Mobile and desktop Yes Yes, mobile by default
Missing field data Origin fallback or none Shown as a clear gap
Ways to run it The PageSpeed Insights page Web, MCP or REST, 20 credits per run

What you get from the snapshot

For one public URL, the snapshot returns real-user LCP, INP and CLS when field data is available, a Lighthouse lab snapshot, and the largest lab opportunities. Each section is labelled as field or lab. When a page has no field data, it says so instead of leaving you to guess.

Because the same tool runs over MCP, you can ask an agent in Claude Code or Cursor to check a page before and after a change and compare. Runs on a seogeoaeo.ai plan also come with saved run history and exports. See the Core Web Vitals Snapshot for the full details.

When PageSpeed Insights is still the better choice

If you only need a one-off look at one page and you are already in a browser, PageSpeed Insights gives you Google's data directly. And if you need a site-wide view, neither tool is the answer: Search Console's Core Web Vitals report groups similar URLs and tracks fixes for 28 days.

A note on what the numbers mean

The thresholds are the same everywhere: LCP 2.5 seconds or less, INP 200 ms or less and CLS 0.1 or less, judged at the 75th percentile of visits. Lighthouse cannot measure INP, so in both tools that metric comes from field data. And none of this is a ranking guarantee. Google says good results do not promise a top position, and the snapshot does not claim otherwise.

FAQ

Is the snapshot more accurate than PageSpeed Insights? No, it reads the same Google sources. The difference is how the results are separated and where you can run it.

Can I test pages behind a login? No. The snapshot only accepts public URLs, and private or local addresses are rejected.
