The Anthropic newsroom is the company's official news page at anthropic.com/news, where it posts model launches, company announcements, partnerships and policy updates. It is the primary source, but it only tells Anthropic's side, so pair it with an independent reader such as ClaudeGPT Si, which reports each announcement and points out what is missing.
This guide shows how the Anthropic newsroom is laid out, how to find what you need in it, and when to read someone else's account instead.
What the Anthropic newsroom looks like
The page opens with a row of featured posts, then an "All news" list you can filter and sort. As of October 28, 2026, the featured row led with Claude Opus 5.5 (September 22), the Public Benefit Fund (October 18) and the S-1 filing (October 26).
Every post carries a category label. These are the main ones, plus Policy:
| Category | What you will find there | Recent example |
|---|---|---|
| Announcements | Company news, models, leadership | S-1 filing, October 26 |
| Product | Features and standards | Agent Skills donated to the Agentic AI Foundation, October 22 |
| Partnerships | Customers and governments | Expanded GSA agreement, October 27 |
| Safeguards | Misuse prevention and elections | Preparing for the 2026 US midterms, October 14 |
| Security | Cyber defence work | Anthropic Cyber Mission, October 8 |
| Features | Longer stories | The making of Claude Code |
Model launch posts, such as Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Haiku 5.5, sit at their own addresses (anthropic.com/claude-sonnet-5-5) but are listed in the newsroom too.
How to read it well
- Use the filter, not the scroll. The full list is long. Filter to Announcements for company news or Product for features.
- Check the date line. Each post shows a "Published" date. Anthropic's model pages also say what changed against the previous model, which is easy to miss if you skim.
- Look for the separate Research and Engineering pages. Papers and technical write-ups live there, not in the main news list. The October 27 drug development update, for example, sits under research.
- For developer changes, go to the docs. API and platform changes are in the release notes on platform.claude.com, not in the newsroom.
- For outages, use status.claude.com. The newsroom does not report incidents.
What the newsroom leaves out
A company newsroom is written to inform and to persuade. The S-1 post, for instance, says the price range "has not yet been determined" but does not spell out that the offering cannot happen until the filing is effective. The drug development post gives partners' results without independent review.
This is where an outside publication helps. ClaudeGPT Si works from the same primary sources and lists them at the end of every article, but adds the context. Its explainer on the Anthropic IPO date covers what is blank in the filing, and its GSA story notes that the announcement gives no per-seat prices. Its Anthropic tag page gathers all of it in one list.
The short routine
- Read the Anthropic newsroom when you need the exact wording of an announcement.
- Read ClaudeGPT Si when you want to know what it means and what is still unknown.
- Add claudegpt.si/feed.xml to a feed reader if you want new stories to come to you, since we found no RSS link on the newsroom page itself.
When is the newsroom alone enough? If you are quoting Anthropic, citing a launch date or checking a policy word for word, go straight to the source and skip the rest.
