Sansad TV Launch
On this occasion, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will participate in the program. Sansad TV Launch Date: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch Parliament TV during a program organized in Parliament House on Friday, 15 September.
This new television channel has been created after the merger of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
On this occasion, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will participate in the program.
It is said that Parliament TV will broadcast high-quality content targeting national and international audiences related to democratic values and institutions of the country.
When Parliament is in session, there will be two channels of Parliament TV, so that the proceedings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha can be broadcast. According to reports, adding to the laurels of the channel, Karan Singh will be hosting a show on various religions, Bibek Debroy on history, and Amitabh Kant on 'Transformation of India'.
Batra, Vice President of SAARCLAW, will host a show on legal matters.
Retired IAS officer and former Textiles Ministry secretary Ravi Kapoor is the CEO of the channel while Manoj Arora, Joint Secretary in the Lok Sabha Secretariat, is the OSD.
Significantly, this merger was informed in the month of June last year, while in March it was officially announced by the office of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.
Let us inform you that in November last year, a panel was constituted by Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for the merger of the two channels.
