In every interview, there are some general questions that many candidates struggle to answer. So, here is the list of those popular questions and their suggestions for answers. Before going to give an interview, make sure to have answers to the following questions, which will help you get more ideas for the interview. Why do you want this job?

Answer: I want this job because it emphasizes {your favorite Skill or Role}, {number of skills} of my greatest skill sets. In my previous job, {your achievement or impact} (if fresher, you can tell about your projects or internship). I know I could bring my {years of experience} years of {skill or role name} experience to this company, and help you continue your years of growth.

How do you work best, as an individual and as part of a team?

Answer: Interviewers really want to know what kind of work environment suits you best. So give the honest answer, but most of the time working is in Team only if it is a big product based company. So answer accordingly.

Which of your skills or experiences would be assets in the role and why?

Answer: Few things you should mention here:

1) Talk only about the skills which are related to the job you have applied for.

2) Talk about your experience related to that skills. If fresher you can talk about your project done using those skills.

Biggest challenges faced?

Answer: The interviewer just wants to know whatever struggles you've encountered in your earlier jobs or projects and how you overcame them. Also to evaluate your problem-solving skills, so they can get an idea of how you'd face related challenges in the role you're interviewing for.

What's a tough problem you've solved?

Answer: With this question, they want to know how you would approach a problem and try to solve them. Just talk about the tough problem you have solved and try to explain how to solve it step by step.

Ideas for improving an existing product

Answer: With this question, they want to know your ability of thinking. So try to analyze and understand the product first, they are asking for improvement like what the product is, what is missing and what you can improve, and how you will improve.

What did you most enjoy at your job or your project (if fresher)?

Answer: This question helps them know what kind of environment or work culture you are looking for. To answer this question you can talk about any of the below points that suits you.

  • Collaboration. “I adore my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to a mission.
  • Work-Life Balance. 
  • Autonomy. “I like the autonomy I have as my seniors allow me to innovate. 
  • Lots of Variety. 
  • Culture. 
  • New Challenges. 
  • Helping Peoples.

What did you learn at your job or your project (if fresher)?

Answer: Here you can talk about your learning experience, the challenges you faced, and how you overcame them.

Why should we hire you?

Answer: There is no perfect answer to this question. Most of the time, With this question, the interviewer wants to test your confidence in the skills you will be working on, your dedication and your interest in their companies, and how you will be beneficial to them. Just be confident and tell them about your expertise in the skill and what interests you more about their company. Example answer:

  • (If Fresher) Well, I don't have any professional work experience, but I have done the {skills} training courses from {source of learning} and also I have taken {skill} certification from there itself. During my training courses, I had successfully completed many {skill} projects and have a good grip on them. Also, I am very flexible as I can mold myself in any way and situation to successfully execute the assigned work by giving 100% result. So, my presence in this organization will be surely beneficial for me and this organization too.
